In closing my beloved’s birthday celebration, I Wu-ed him.
A few things I learned at the show:
1. Rocking out with him made me love him more. I love him more each day for all the little things he does but throwing our “W”s up & swinging our arms from side to side in unison was oh so romantic.
2. Wu fans are diverse in age, race, style, etc. I saw people old enough to be my parents and young enough to be my kid. I saw punks, hip hoppers, hipsters, nerds, blue collar workers, white collar workers, etc. This was awesome.
3. WuTang is Forever. The fellas rocked the show. Their stage presence was as awesome as it was 20 years ago. The absence of Raekwon and Ghostaface Killah (my beloved’s favorite Wu member) left me feeling cheated before entering the venue, however I left with a feeling of satisfaction and inspiration.
